As I watched my son’s T-Ball game today, I realized growing my MyWorldPlus business works much the same way.  For starters, T-ball is the first level of baseball made available to all upcoming baseball players.  It reminds me of a new enrollee into the program with very little to no internet marketing experience.  At this stage, hitting the ball is a challenge, so they use a T, or baseball stand, to hold the ball so the little ones can hit the ball.  Before long, the boys are hitting the ball off of a fast pitch from the mound.  Internet marketing works the same way for new beginners into a program like MyWorldPlus. 

The second idea comes from rounding the bases.  After the player connects with the ball he has to run to first base.  In internet marketing, getting to first base is creating a presence on the internet.  As your skills on the internet improve, you will have your own website, capture pages, and building your own list.  Unfortunately, you have to be more than a landing page and more than a capture page.  You have to show people you know what you’re doing.  If they are going to follow you into a business they must feel comfortable with you. You must be on top of your game.  Capture pages, posting to blogs like blogger, and message boards are just the beginning but is a good way to get started.  I compare 2^nd base with discussing the business with pre-enrollees before they join. Don’t be afraid to make that call and connect with your prospect.   Third base is compared to placing a member in your team.  They sign up, but watch out; they may be lost without your help.  This brings me to third base.  Third place is placing a member in your team.  Some people may equate someone joining your team as crossing home base.  I, however, believe that crossing home plate is providing support, training and anything else required  to allow your enrollee to make sure they are just as successful as you are.  You must be willing, ready and able to help anyone in your team who needs it.  Assisting your new member is the most important step of all.  Remember, if they are not successful, you may not be successful either.  Go out of your way to help them.  Let’s face it, if your new member drops out before they become successful, you have gained zero.  I say again, ZERO.  Assisting a new enrollee is the most important step.

The last parallel idea compares to having a coach.  If you are new to internet marketing, make sure you have a coach to show you the way to success.  This has to be someone you can call at anytime day or night when you have a question. If you don’t have that, find something else. Ball players don’t make it to the big leagues with out an array of great coaches.
